ELRAD Eye Care
Patient records software for an eye clinic, replacing paper examination cards with an app that runs on phones, tablets and desktops.
The challenge
ELRAD kept every patient's examination history on paper cards. Cards get lost, can't be read at the next visit, and can't be backed up. The clinic also loses power and internet regularly, so a cloud-only app would stop working in the middle of an appointment.

What we built
- Digital examination cardThe familiar paper card, rebuilt as a form clinicians can fill in quickly.
- Works offlineAn encrypted short-term cache keeps a session going through a network or power cut.
- Safe if a device is lostNothing readable is left on a lost or stolen device.
- Installs like an appWorks on any phone, tablet or desktop and can be added to the home screen.
- Owned by the clinicThe database is registered in the clinic's own name, not the developer's.
Under the hood
A Vite progressive web app backed by Supabase. Access rules live in the database, the server is the single source of truth, and the local cache is encrypted and expires.
